The idea for the Pride Financial Advisors Network was first sparked in 2015, when an experienced advisor, Tom Hake, joined Raymond James and began seeking ways to align with other LGBT+ advisors to help meet the financial planning needs of the LGBT+ community. He spent nearly two years developing and sharing his ideas with other professionals in addition to running his practice. In early 2019, Tom met with the firm’s executive leadership team and solidified plans for a kickoff. The result was the Pride Financial Advisors Network – an initiative that promotes equality, encourages advisors to be their authentic selves and fosters a more inclusive firm for all. The network will make its official debut in June 2020 with the celebration of St. Pete Pride 2020 and its inaugural Business of Pride Symposium.
